One Response to “Education”

  1. While there is a general acceptance that education must in the future play a central role in remembrance and as a crucial part of the purpose of the NMA, it is not necessarily clear how this is to take place. Trips and visits to inform and educate are good, but is there anything else that can or should be done?

As a psychologist I suppose I am interested in whether we can educate younger people to think about war differently from their ancestors. I am not sure this can be done, as evidence from history shows that each generation somehow desires its own war and violence. So is there something to be done differently? Are we targetting the wrong people?
